JMI has recently welcomed Gary Tims to the team, where he is leading the development and delivery of our Honeywell Field Service operation, supporting the Honeywell TFE731 engine series and APUs. Gary brings almost 40 years of aviation experience, having started his career in 1988 as an Airframe and Engine Apprentice. Over the course of his career, he has built an outstanding reputation across aircraft maintenance, engine support, and business aviation, establishing himself as one of the UK’s most experienced specialists in the Honeywell TFE731 platform.

A highly respected engineer and leader, Gary has successfully established multiple Honeywell Mechanical Service Centres throughout his career and has been instrumental in developing mobile on-wing support solutions for operators across Europe and beyond. His expertise covers both workshop and field service operations, delivering maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and technical support for Honeywell TFE731 engines and APUs.

In addition to his operational experience, Gary serves as Vice Chairman (Mechanical) of Honeywell’s Global Customer Committee (GCC), where he works alongside Honeywell leadership and industry representatives to drive improvements in customer support, product reliability, and service excellence worldwide.

The field service capability is already fully operational and actively supporting customers, further strengthening our overall service offering and providing a solid foundation for continued growth and future expansion. As we scale our capabilities and expand our Honeywell support services, we are also looking to grow the team. If you’re interested in joining JMI and working alongside one of the industry’s most experienced Honeywell specialists, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
